デヴィッド・ボウイはその50年に及ぶキャリアを網羅する楽曲や未発表曲も収録した新しいコンピレーション盤をリリースするが、同時に新曲2曲がシングルとしてリリースされる。
コンピ盤は『Nothing Has Changed』といって、タイトルは2002年の『ヒーザン』収録の"サンデー"の歌詞にちなんだものだとか。楽曲はデラックス盤については時代を遡る形で時代順に収録されているので、冒頭部分は『ザ・ネクスト・デイ』と『ザ・ネクスト・デイ・エキストラ』の収録曲が飾っているという。
シングルとなるのはこのコンピ盤のために制作された新曲で、当然ながらアルバムの1曲目ともなっている"Sue (Or a Season in Crime)"。イギリスのアルバム・リリース日となる11月17日に同時リリースされるという。シングルは10インチ・シングル・アナログ盤とダウンロードの2種発売され、B面曲にはこれもまた今回のために制作された新曲となる"'Tis a Pity She's a Whore"が収録されることになるが、こちらは10インチ・シングルとダウンロード・シングルのみでの収録で、コンピ盤本体には収録されない。なお、シングル曲はいずれもトニー・ヴィスコンティがプロデューサーにあたっている。
また、コンピ盤はフォーマットによって収録曲や曲順の異動があり、CD3枚組デラックス盤と同じ内容のダウンロード版、CD2枚組版と同じ内容のダウンロード盤、さらにアナログ2枚組盤の3種類がリリースされる予定で、新曲"Sue"はいずれのヴァージョンにも収録される。なお、デラックス盤の最終曲となるのはデヴィッドが17歳だった1964年にデイヴィー・ジョーンズ・アンド・ザ・キング・ビーズとしてリリースしたシングル"Liza Jane"となるがこちらはデラックス盤のみの収録となる。
さらに『ヒーザン』の前にデヴィッドがいったん仕上げたものの一部の楽曲を『ヒーザン』に持ち越し、リリースが見送られた2001年のアルバム『Toy』からの"Let Me Sleep Beside You"もデラックス盤のみに収録される。さらにダウンロードのみでリリースされたやはり『Toy』からの"Your Turn to Drive"、71年の『ジギー・スターダスト』制作時のアウトテイク曲で『Toy』用に制作し直された"Shadow Man"などの楽曲もデラックス盤には収録されているが、CD2枚組盤/アナログ2枚組盤には収録されていない。
