コートニー・バーネットが米TV番組「The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon」に出演し、グレイトフル・デッドの"New Speedway Boogie"（1970）のカヴァー・ライヴを披露した。

コートニーによる同カヴァーは、ザ・ナショナルのブライス・デスナーとアーロン・デスナーが企画したグレイトフル・デッドのトリビュート・アルバム『デイ・オブ・ザ・デッド』に収録、同アルバムは6月15日（水）にリリースされる。

『デイ・オブ・ザ・デッド』は、マムフォード・アンド・サンズ、ボン・イヴェールのジャスティン・ヴァーノン、ザ・フレーミング・リップス、スティーヴ・マルクマス、ヨ・ラ・テンゴのアイラ・カプランら60組のアーティストによるグレイトフル・デッドのカヴァーを収めたアルバム。完成まで4年を費やし、5枚組全59曲、総収録時間約6時間に及ぶ大作となっている。グレイトフル・デッドは、デスナー兄弟が音楽を始めるきっかけとなったバンドでもあるという。
